Making consent and healthy relationships part of what it means to be a fraternity brother or sorority sister.
As we make our way to mid-way through the fall semester, schools are busy. Football seasons are in full swing, classes are kicking our asses, and many Greek organizations are in the middle of the pledge process. So what has Consent is So Frat been up to? See what we’ve been working on, what’s coming in the future, and two hilarious videos from Breakthrough about what men can do to promote a culture of consent (and use their hands for better things than sexual violence, like beer and high fives).
– We’re excited to expand the focus of Consent is So Frat to include sororities, working to make consent and healthy relationships part of what it means to be in a fraternity or sorority. Check out our post about our updated work here!
– We’ve hired new staff! Consent is So Frat is happy to welcome Erin Shannon, Sigma Sigma Sigma sister from The College of New Jersey, as our Campus Representative Program Director. Check back later for her Meet Our Staff post on Facebook and a full bio.
– We’ve welcomed several new representatives to our program, spreading the work we’re doing to promote consent in Greek life and to make fraternities and sororities allies in ending sexual violence.
– We’re excited to announce that we will be piloting our curriculum at Frostburg State University on November 16th-17th! Looking forward to talking with fraternity brothers at Frostburg about consent and what they can do to help end sexual violence on campus.
And last but not least…funny videos on promoting consent.
