Making consent and healthy relationships part of what it means to be a fraternity brother or sorority sister.
It isn’t easy to challenge leadership within our own community, however sometimes it is necessary. Fraternity and Sorority Political Action Committee (FratPAC) has decided to lobby Congress to remove a school’s ability to act “until completion of criminal adjudication (investigation and trial)”. This seriously impacts the safety and rights of survivors and does not help a campus work to create a culture of consent and safety. That is why Consent is So Frat is officially standing against this effort, and will be working with other Greeks and Sexual Violence Prevention Activists to challenge this initiative, which is supported by both NIC and NPC. We encourage you to join us and tell your national organization to stand up against this initiative.
If you want to learn more about why schools should handle sexual violence cases, read this from Know Your IX.
